Across the Amazon

A medical mission across Colombia and Peru.

Sugar Creek Baptist Church × Medical Ministry International

Begin the Journey

The Journey

The Journey

In the Amazon, distance is measured differently.

Roads disappear. Rivers become highways. Communities can only be reached by boat.

This journey began in Colombia, crossed into Peru, and returned through the Amazon River alongside a floating medical clinic serving remote communities.

Led by Sugar Creek Baptist Church in partnership with Medical Ministry International, the mission brought medical care, encouragement, and hope to places rarely accessible.

Our responsibility was simple: document the journey honestly.

The Mission

The Mission

Every stop along the river represented people waiting for medical attention, prayer and human connection.

Behind every consultation was a story.

Behind every smile was a family.

Behind every mile was another community waiting.

Our cameras were there to witness—not to interrupt.

Behind the Mission

Behind the Mission

Some stories cannot be directed. They can only be witnessed.

Behind every frame was a commitment to stay present, earn trust and document the mission with honesty.

Photography and filmmaking became tools for preserving moments that deserved to be remembered.

Story Notes

Some journeys change the people who film them as much as the people they meet.
